About us

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) was set up in March 2012 under the Private Universities Act of 2010 and is dedicated to the development of human resources for the readymade garment, textile and allied sectors of Bangladesh. The university aims to establish itself as a ‘center of excellence’ for study, research and development and to serve the nation.

University Vision:
To be a “Center of Excellence” in higher education relating to RMG to produce technically competent human resources for the Apparel, Textile and allied sectors at home and aboard emphasizing on innovation and creativity.

University Mission:

To be an international standard state-of-the-art University for education, training, research and development to produce highly qualified, dynamic, versatile, creative and skilled human resources for fashion and design, apparel and textile technology and allied industries at home and abroad.
